In response to a request for a tax abatement on a proposed energy storage facility here, the Dawson County Commissioners Court is looking at the possibility of hiring an attorney.Members of the court on Tuesday will consider giving County Judge Foy O’Brien authority to hire an attorney who specializes in tax abatements to assist county officials as they consider the request.That action will come at the court’s regular meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the county courtroom on the top floor of the courthouse.Members of the court have twice met with a representative of a tax consulting firm which is ...
