Six Lamesa residents were arrested on drug trafficking charges during pre-dawn raids at three residences here Wednesday by officers from multiple local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.The local raids were conducted simultaneously with similar raids taking place in Brownfield and Lubbock.Together, those raids resulted in 12 arrests and the seizure of roughly 27 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, U.S. currency, and two firearms, including one that had been stolen, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s office in Lubbock for the Northern District of Texas.The arrests, which just so happened to be conducted during a sandstorm that ...
