There are only two action items on the Lamesa school board’s agenda and they center on School Superintendent David Ritchey’s contract.The board is meeting at 6 p.m., tonight in the district’s Central Office at 212 N. Houston Ave.The board will first go into executive session to discuss personnel issues.When they return into open session, they are expected to vote on Ritchey’s job evaluation and extending his contract.Ritchey took over the superintendent’s job a year ago - several months after former Superintendent Jim Knight retired from the job in September 2022.Knight had been school superintendent for over seven years.
