Klondike students and staff members will get an extra-long Christmas holiday as a result of action taken by the Klondike school board this past week.Board members approved several changes to the school calendar for the current school year during their regular meeting on Monday.Those changes include adding three extra days of Christmas vacation, with classes dismissing on Dec. 17 instead of Dec. 22 as previously scheduled.Classes also will dismiss early, at 12:30 p.m., on both Dec. 16 and 17, Superintendent Steve McLaren said.Another change will move the last day of classes to finish the school year from May 20 to ...
