Instead of the slight increase that was proposed, Klondike school board members opted this past week to keep the new tax rate the same as last year’s.During a special called meeting on Monday board members voted to set the total tax rate at $1.0152 per $100 worth of property value.That total includes a rate of 96.3 cents to fund the district’s maintenance and operations and 5.22 cents to make payments on bonded indebtedness.The board had proposed increasing the rate for bonded indebtedness to $6.68 cents, according to a notice published last month.Also during the meeting, which lasted just over an ...
