Numerous Dawson County citizens who had been summoned to district court in Lamesa on Monday for possible jury duty no longer need to report as originally requested, a court official announced Friday.A jury will no longer be needed because the case scheduled to go to trial has been settled out of court, according to District Clerk Adreana Gonzalez.“The Court very much appreciates the willingness of citizens to perform their civic duty to serve on juries when called...,” Gonzales added in making the announcement.
