ANDREWS – Nearly 50 local youths who participated in the Andrews Police Department’s first Junior Police Academy received a sampling of training conducted at real police academies, along with what local officers do on a daily basis. Participants even did pushups and various other exercises during daily physical training routines. But the physical aspect was just the tip of the iceberg for participants, said event organizer Sgt.
