Independence Day is just little over a week away. The Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the local birthday bash a day earlier than Fourth of July. With July 4 falling on a Sunday this year, the annual activities hosted here by the Chamber will be on Saturday, June 3. Activities will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. that day. Parade entries are requested to show up at 9:30 a.m. at Lamesa Middle School’s parking lot. There is no entry fee or advance registration required. Just show up and line up.
