MISS JAMAICAJackie Gonzales, 15, receives the fi rst Miss Jamaica crown and title Sunday afternoon. Pageant organizer Rosa Flores and Parish Deacon Saul Hernandez presented Jackie with her sash, cape, scepter and a bouquet of roses during the annual Jamaica celebrations. Four contestants vying for three crowns won their titles for raising the most funds through the sale of raffl e tickets and fundraisers. Together they raised a total of almost $7,500 benefi tting the St Mary Margaret and Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church’s maintenance fund. Jackie raised $2,445 for the church.
