An 18-wheeler jackknifed around 1:41 p.m. Monday at the South Y of Highway 87. The truck was heading northbound when the accident occurred and it ended up on the island between the northbound and southbound lanes of traffic at that intersection. The driver was not injured and slick roads from a heavy mist may have contributed to the accident. A second jackknifed 18-wheeler was reported at 7:09 p.m. Monday at North 7th Street and Seminole Road. That accident blocked the roadway and some spilled diesel fuel had to be covered with sand by the Texas Department of Transportation. No injuries ...
