ANDREWS – An intoxicated man who entered the courthouse the afternoon of Jan. 24 and frightened some female employees with his actions will lead to increased security measures at the courthouse, according to county officials.Andrews County Sheriff Rusty Stewart addressed the incident during the public forum session at Tuesday’s commissioners court meeting.Stewart told the court he will propose major courthouse security upgrades at next Tuesday’s meeting.The incident the afternoon of Jan. 24 resulted in an arrest at the courthouse and perhaps revealed security vulnerabilities the sheriff’s office plans to shore up.– From the Andrews County News ...
