Dawson County commissioners July 25 were pleasantly pleased when they got the appraisal values that could result in decreasing the tax rate by three-cents.They got the numbers shortly before the start of their budget session. They will continue working on the 2023-2024 proposed budget and tax rate through the summer.Property values, tabulated by the Dawson County Appraisal District, showed they were up when compared to last year’s values.
