SEMINOLE – Hazardous conditions were present May 15 when water was over the roadways in much of Gaines County. The National Weather Service reported only .5 to one inch of rain in Seminole, while in other parts of the county, rainfall measured 1.5 to two inches. According to Gaines County Sheriff Ronny Pipkin, deputies were called out to block flooded roads, detour traffic, and assist stranded motorists.
