The Lamesa High School Marching Band came home with a high rating from the University Interscholastic League competition Saturday in Lubbock.The band earned a Division 2 or Excellent rating with their performance of “re:CONNECTed,” which featured a mixture of the song, “ See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Symphony No. 25.” “The kids worked really hard,” said Band Director Sonia Carrion. “We are really proud of what the ratings were.”Band members captured the same rating last year.
