Local senior citizens unable to attend the city’s Chicken Fried Steak Festival over the weekend didn’t miss out on everything. They still got to enjoy the famous dish.But instead of them going to Forrest Park for the meal, the meal came to them.Volunteers delivered about 40 servings of the dish to the elderly Friday afternoon.Chris Stephenson, owner of Lamesa AMPM Delivery, is usually out making other deliveries. Her business delivers orders from residents craving items from their favorite restaurants, groceries from the supermarket, or medications from the pharmacy.
