A new high school graduation rule impacting the Class of 2022 isn’t really going to change anything at Lamesa High School, according to a school official.The rule requires all high school seniors to fill out financial aid forms to cover university expenses before they can walk across the stage to obtain their diplomas. Seniors not planning to pursue further education can fill out another form to opt out from the requirement.The Texas Legislature created the additional rule in 2019.
