Chamber members came together Thursday night for an evening of dining, entertainment and awards at the annual Chamber Banquet.Gonzales Funeral Home was named the 2023 Lamesa Area chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. The community had the opportunity to vote for the business they felt has served our community despite setbacks and strived to better Lamesa.Over 1,300 votes were placed for 49 businesses in the area.Bobby and Mary Gonzales were suprised and expressed thanks and appreciation for the community support.“What a great compliment,” said Bobby.Josh Freitag and Pam Huse received were recognized for their service on the Chamber Board.
