Thursday is the first of six classes for those interested in learning more about raising a garden.Local gardener Danielle McElwee and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office are offering “Growing and Nourishing Healthy Communities Garden Course” starting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at Stock and Petal, located at 502 N. 4th Street.The classes will begin at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday for the next five weeks.Students will learn about watering, garden location, when to plant, pest and disease control; and harvesting.Students can pre-register for the classes by calling McElwee at 903-276-5261 or Nicole Singleton, Family, Community, Health Agent with the Texas A&M ...
