A fund raiser is being held for a Sands Middle School student recuperating from a heart condition.Eighth grader Tye Gaskins had a cardiac emergency while at track practice on Feb. 29th. He was moved from a pediatric intensive care unit Wednesday to a rehabilitation hospital.To help his family with medical costs, school district officials are organizing a benefit through the sale of racks of ribs and sausage links April 12.Diners can pick up their orders starting at 4 p.m. in the Sands school district building.Only 250 racks of pork ribs with sausage links will be sold.
