In honor of “Grandparents’ Day,” this coming Sunday, Focused Care of Lamesa is hosting a luncheon for their elderly clients and their grandkids.The free luncheon starts at noon Friday at the care facility at 1201 N 15th Street.“We’re going to serve sandwiches and chips,” said Alice Gonzalez, director of Focused Care at Lamesa.“Nothing major, but just an opportunity to eat with their loved one.”Gonzalez said staff are expecting about 20 people to show up Friday for the meal with the elderly residents.
