SNYDER – Scurry County commissioners approved a tax abatement application for Enel Green Power to build what will be the largest structure in Scurry County.The energy company is proposing to build battery and gravity storage facilities on the 20-acre site of a decommissioned wind farm east of Snyder.The battery storage facility would contain lithium ion batteries capable of storing electricity until demand meets supply.
