Reed Filley will take office as the 106th Judicial District Court Judge at the start of the new year this coming Tuesday. Filley will be sworn in by current Judge Carter T. Schildknecht on Jan. 1, at 10 a.m., in the District Courtroom of Dawson County Courthouse in Lamesa. After Filley is sworn in to office, the elected county officials taking office will be sworn in, as well. Filley has been working as a lawyer in Lamesa since August of 2008.
