Filing currently is underway for anyone wanting to run for election to fill a position on ether the Dawson or Klondike school boards.The filing period began July 23 and will run through Aug. 22.Three positions are up for election on Nov. 8 for the Dawson school board in Welch. Each is an at-large position for a four-year term.Those positions currently are held by Kalith Brown, Pete Martens and Ben Phipps.As of Tuesday morning, Phipps was the only candidate to have filed for a position on the Dawson ISD ballot.
