Five county-wide positions in Dawson County, two precinct posts, and a four-county position will be up for election in 2022, according to new County Elections Administrator Ashley Barron. Although the filing period for places on the ballot won’t officially begin until mid-November, candidates already are starting to make their moves. Current County Judge Foy O’Brien this past week became the first person to jump into the ring, announcing he will be a candidate for re-election next year. (See separate story.)
