Dawson County officials got some good financial news Tuesday just as they were preparing to adopt the county’s new budget and tax rate. That news didn’t change either the budget or tax rate, but should impact how much money the county needs to pull out of its reserves during the coming year. County Treasurer Terri Stahl said she received notice Tuesday that the county could immediately spend $400,000 of the $1.2 million awarded to Dawson County this year in federal coronavirus relief funds.
