A fund raiser is being held at Pedroza’s restaurant at 1501 Lubbock Hwy. from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., Sunday.Proceeds benefit Lamesa High School’s (LHS) Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students and 17 barbecue students heading to state competition in Round Rock next week.“It will go towards the activity fund. It goes to the kids,” said Kevin Pedroza, barbecue team sponsor and LHS culinary teacher. “While they are there (in Round Rock), they’ll use it.
