Texas Highway Patrol Troopers look over the scene of a collision which occurred about 11 p.m. last Sunday, May 16, at the intersection of State Highway 349 and FM 2052 just south of Lamesa. One person reportedly was killed in the accident but details about the crash remained unavailable from the Texas Department of Public Safety as of late Friday evening. It appeared that a red Dodge pickup was headed northbound on 349 when it went under the trailer of a sand transport truck which had been going west on 2052 and attempted to turn south on 349.
