A “Backyard Homesteading Class,” hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Dawson County, will teach those interested in learning about raising chickens, growing their own vegetables and how to care for milk goats.The free weekly Mondaynight courses begin Sept. 19 and continue through Oct. 24. Classes are held from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Lee Roy Colgan Building at 901 S.
