A sizeable crowd was on hand Wednesday as a convoy of law enforcement vehicles, led by the Ector County Hospital District (ECHD) Police Department, arrived at Gonzales Funeral Home escorting a van carrying the bodies of three family members killed in a collision last weekend in San Antonio. One of those killed, 37-year-old Sgt. Daniel Valenzuela Jr., was a sergeant with the ECHD Police Department. The other two were Lamesa residents Daniel Valenzuela Sr., age 69, and Andrea Uvalle, 84.
