When the Dawson County Hospital District (DCHD) took over Emergency Medical Services (EMS) a few years ago, it continued to operate out of a county-owned building that previously housed the ambulance operations here. The ambulances and emergency medical personnel are housed in a facility on the other side of town from Medical Arts Hospital (MAH). That building once housed a Dr. Pepper bottling facility.
