District clerk stepping down

Continuing to face health challenges that have dogged her for several years, Tobie McCormick has announced she is stepping down from the position of District Clerk for Dawson County. She said she submitted her resignation at the beginning of this past week to District Judge Reed Filley. Her resignation is effective Oct. 11. “I just have a lot of health things going on that have made it to where I need to step down,” McCormick told the Press-Reporter on Thursday afternoon.
