While the school budget is increasing this year the tax rate is dropping slightly in the Dawson school district based at Welch. Dawson school board members on Monday evening adopted both the budget and tax rate for 2020-2021. This year’s tax rate will be $1.0547 per $100 worth of taxable property. That is down from $1.06835 this past year.
