Dawson County 4-H student brings home several awards during Gold Star Banquet

Dawson County 4-H student Korbin Schmidt was recognized recently during the District 2 4-H Gold Star Banquet as the recipient of several 4-H awards.Korbin, who is homeschooled, is active in the Dawson County 4-H Club, serving as 4-H treasurer and currently as ambassador chairman.Besides the Gold Star Award, Korbin also received the I Dare You Award in recognition of his leadership skills.The Texas 4-H Gold Star Award is the highest honor members can receive in 4-H. To receive this honor, members must have at least completed, or be completing their 9th grade school year at the time of their application,
