New funding in the appropriations for the 2019-2021 state budget has been announced by State Rep. Tom Craddick (R-Midland). Craddick, who represents District 82, is chairman of the Land and Resource Management Committee with the Texas House of Representatives. Additional funds for Texas AgriLife Extension health programs preventing and reducing the risk of chronic disease; $125 million per year for roads and infrastructure, a total of $250 million for the biennium $20 million for a Physician Assistant Facility. This is one of the few brick and mortar appropriations for the biennium. District 82 includes Crane, Dawson, Martin, Midland, and Upton counties. ...
