COVID tally tops 1,000

Dawson County’s total COVID-19 case count has now passed the 1,000 mark. The daily update on the South Plains Public Health District website shows that, as of Tuesday, a total of 1,014 Dawson County residents have been confirmed with the virus since the first case here was reported last March. More than half of those cases have been reported since the first of October, when the county total was just under 500.
