Thirty residents of Dawson County currently have active cases of COVID-19, according to an update sent out Thursday evening by the South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD).That is down just slightly from the 32 active cases reported the previous week.Total active cases across the five-county health district, however, almost doubled from the previous week.The report issued Thursday by SPPHD Executive Director Zach Holbrooks showed a total of 144 active cases in the district, compared to 77 a week earlier.Most of that jump came in Yoakum County, which had 76 active cases this past week compared to only two the previous ...
