COVID-19 isn’t gone just yet. Although Dawson County recently went a full week without a single active case of the virus here, it is still hanging around. And it remains deadly. The South Plains Public Health District reported a new confirmed case of the COVID here this past Monday. Another new case was added on Thursday, giving the county two active cases.
