Now down to just two, active cases of COVID-19 among Dawson County residents have almost disappeared.But that’s not the case across the entire five-county South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD).While an update issued Tuesday evening by SPPHD Executive Director Zach Holbrooks showed only two active cases of the virus in Dawson, it lists 39 in Yoakum County.Active cases are in the single digits in the district’s three other counties, however, with six in Gaines County, two in Terry County and five in Lynn Couynty.The number of Dawson County residents who have died from COVID-19 since the first case here was ...
