COVID-19 is on the rampage in Dawson County.An update from the South Plains Public Health District on Tuesday evening shows 240 new cases reported here in just the past week.That is almost triple the 83 new cases reported by the district during the previous week.Of those new cases here this past week, 106 were reported from Wednesday through Friday of last week and 134 from Saturday through Tuesday.Active COVID cases here also were reported by the health district to total 134 on Tuesday evening.The good news is that despite the jump in cases no new deaths from COVID-19 have been ...
