SNYDER - Scurry County has experienced its 22nd death due to COVID-19. The county’s latest person to die due to complications of the virus, which was reported Dec. 2, is a male between the ages of 85 and 95. Scurry County officials reported Friday that since last Thursday’s update there were 18 new positive cases and 21 recoveries. There are currently 131 active cases with 1,313 recoveries. There have been total 1,466 cases within the county since last spring.
