Two new horizontal oil drilling operations are planned about halfway between Lamesa and Ackerly, and a vertical drilling venture is scheduled a few miles north-northeast of Ackerly.The two horizontal wells – deemed the Gemini 12-1 No. 1DN and Gemini 12-1 No. 2DN – are planned by Midland-based Pinon Operating.Both wells will be drilled from the same general location about 10.7 miles southeast of Lamesa.
