Employees in the county’s Road and Bridge Department now will be required to work overtime hours when needed, according to a new policy approved Tuesday by the Dawson County commissioners court.A change in the county’s employee handbook was approved after members of the commissioners court spent over an hour in a closed executive session listed for the purpose of discussing personnel.County Judge Foy O’Brien said the new policy will become part of the county’s overall employee handbook but will apply only to employees in the Road and Bridge Department.It is effective immediately.The new policy says overtime will be mandatory for ...
