Dawson County commissioners Tuesday gave the director of the county public library the discretion of deciding if and when the library is open on Saturdays.For now, the library is going to be closed on Saturdays unless otherwise posted about opening it for special programs or when staff is available.The Dawson County Public Library has been open from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. every Saturday long before its director, Angie Martinez, began working there 17 years ago.In the past, she’s had to go before commissioners to ask permission to close the facility even if it was for 30-minutes.The library’s hour remain ...
