SEMINOLE – In a special meeting on Wednesday the Gaines County Commissioners Court authorized County Judge Tom Keyes to apply for a grant from the federal Coronavirus Relief Fund to cover costs incurred by the county during the recent shutdown of all but the most “essential” services. The $603,075 grant will be channeled from Washington through state governments for counties like Gaines, with populations of fewer than 500,000 residents.
