Lamesa City Council members plan to revisit the next fiscal year’s preliminary budget that currently is $800,000 in the red. They will continue budget discussions at 5:30 p.m. next Tuesday to see if they can cut any deeper into expenditures. The council met Tuesday and unanimously voted on the first reading of a more than $12 million budget, with $11.9 million in expected, revenue after holding a public hearing on the numbers.
