Owners of a future convenience store and a recycling business got the green light from Lamesa City Council members Tuesday for upcoming projects here.The council approved financial incentives and performance agreements offered to both businesses from the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and the Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP).Plans for bringing Toot n’ Totum Food Stores to town comes with a $300,000 offer in economic development funding, said Lee Peterson, LEDC and LEAP executive director.The business will be located on almost eight acres.The funds will be paid out once the business meets certain expectations.
