Lamesa City Council members gave initial approval Tuesday evening for a change in zoning to allow a proposed apartment complex to be located in what is now a single-family neighborhood at the southeast corner of Lamesa. The rezoning was approved on a split vote despite concerns expressed by several residents who live near the site in the city’s Hollis Carver neighborhood.
