Lamesa City Council members Tuesday canceled two races while keeping one council seat on the May 6 ballot.There just weren’t enough candidates seeking two of the council’s positions. A third incumbent does have a challenger.Both council members Fred Vera, representing District 2, and Rudy Sauseda, Jr., representing District 6, will retain their seats in their unopposed bids to serve another term.
