Lamesa City Council members this past week conducted two nights of interviews with potential city manager candidates. They conducted the meetings Tuesday and Thursday night in closed-door meetings. The council exited those meetings without making a decision after returning into open session. “We’re still taking interviews,” Mayor Josh Stevens said Friday. “We have had a couple of very good interviews in the last couple of days.” The search for a city manager began when former city manager Sean Overeynder resigned suddenly from the job in May.
