The Klondike Cougars will kick off the football season Friday night with lofty expectations. The Cougars not only picked to win their district this fall, but they’re also ranked 15th in the state in six-man’s Division II football by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. They started living up to their top billing last Friday evening in their scrimmage against Grandfalls-Royalty, which is also ranked 10th in the state in Division II.
